Bio Note:
Serena is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of History at the University of Chicago. Her dissertation, "Armed for Citizenship: War and Women's Rights in Twentieth-Century America," focuses on a series of twentieth-century U.S. Supreme Court cases that reshaped American women’s rights and obligations within a nation perpetually at war. She holds a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and an M.A. from the University of Chicago.
