Bio Note:
Nate is a Ph.D. candidate in International History at Harvard University. He studies the military and cultural history of the French Union, focusing on the stories of colonial subjects who fought as paramilitaries in French service during the decolonization conflicts that raged in Madagascar, Indochina, and Algeria after the Second World War. He holds a B.A. in History and Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies from New York University (NYU) and master's degrees from Columbia University and the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).
