Bio Note:

Meg is a PhD student at Ohio University studying modern military history with an emphasis on the Vietnam War. She graduated with her BA in History from Ferris State University in 2019 and with her MA in History from Central Michigan University in 2021. She studies under Dr. Ingo Trauschweizer and is currently a fellow at the Contemporary History Institute. Meg plans on researching the role of the US Special Forces in building rapport and conducting military operations with the indigenous Montagnard tribes of Vietnam's Central Highlands through the Civilian Irregular Defense Program. For this project, she hopes to blend social, cultural, and military history to examine how unique aspects of the Special Forces as an elite unit and the Montagnards as a culture connected to form a strong, successful alliance.

When she isn't studying history, Meg's other main interests are science fiction and nature photography.
