Familiar Danger, Unfamiliar Setting: The Combat Experience of German Hilfstruppen in the American War of Independence

Bio Note:

My research focuses on the experiences and mindset of German soldiers in the American War of Independence. My other interests include Swedish military experiences during the eighteenth century, battlefield religion in the early modern world, and Northern European immigration to America in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. I currently plan to graduate from Ball State in the spring of 2014, and I am in the process of selecting schools to apply for a Ph.D program.
