The University of New Brunswick offers graduate assistantships.
Special Notes: Graduate students are closely affiliated to UNB's Brigadier Milton F. Gregg VC, Centre for the Study of War and Society, (www.unb.ca/greggcentre) which has a very active program of research, teaching, scholarship and out reach in military history and modern defence issues. The Centre publishes a scholarly journal on modern conflict, The Journal for Conflict Studies (www.lib.unb.ca/TEXTS/JCS/) and a book series as part of the New Brunswick Military Heritage Project (www.unb.ca/nbmhp), as well as occasional monographs and papers.
The UNB military history program has very close ties with nearby CFB Gagetown, home of the Canadian Army's Combat Training Centre including its infantry, armour and artillery schools.
